Michele Parrinello to be awarded 2020 European Chemistry Gold Medal

Michele Parrinello, professor of Computational Sciences at ETH Zurich and the Università della Svizzera italiana as well as group leader in NCCR MARVEL's Design & Discovery Project 1, will be awarded the 2020 European Chemistry Gold Medal in recognition of his exceptional achievements in the field.

Professor Parrinello will be presented the Gold Medal during the 8th EuChemS Chemistry Congress, where he will also give a plenary lecture. More information can be found on the site of the European Chemical Society website here.

A recording of the lecture that he gave as part of the CECAM/MARVEL series Classics in molecular and materials modeling with Roberto Car of Princeton University last year on Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics is available here.
