Five MARVEL members to give invited talks at American Physical Society's annual meeting

Two MARVEL postdocs and three PIs will give invited talks at the annual meeting of the American Physical Society, being held March 4- 8 in Boston, Massachusetts.

MARVEL postdocs Julia Wiktor (EPFL) and Thibault Sohier (EPFL) as well as MARVEL PIs Nicola Spaldin (ETHZ), Nicola Marzari (EPFL) and Joost VandeVondele (ETHZ) have been invited to give talks at the annual meeting of the American Physical Society in March.

The talks being given are:

Marzari: Novel Vistas in Thermal Transport: Relaxons, Frictions, Viscosities, and Coherences

Sohier: Computational quest for high-mobility 2D materials

Spaldin: Dynamical Multiferroicity

VandeVondele: TBD

Wiktor: Comprehensive modeling of band gaps and absorption spectra of complex semiconductors for solar applications
